Parce que c’est pas seulement de la bouffe qu’on peut preparer dans une cuisine, voici la tres anarchiste recette de Pate a dents:
2 tbs calcium carbonate – this is the abrasive that scrapes the gunk off your teeth. It’s basically just chalk. I found a pottery supply store that sells it. One pound cost only 1,25$!
However, if you for some reason can’t find calcium carbonate anywhere you can try substituting crushed up tums or any other antacid pill. I’d recommend getting the unflavored kind since flavored ones usually contain sugar and it doesn’t make much sense to brush your teeth with sugar!
1 tbs baking soda – this is the cleaning agent. It’s easily obtainable at any grocery store for real cheap.
1-2 tbs glycerin – to be honest I’m not quite surewhat purpose the glycerin serves, but it gives the paste a creamy consistency like the store-bought pastes. It might me kind of hard to find. I managed to track some down at a locally owned drug store. I think it was 3,50$ for an 8 oz. bottle. Note that glycerin is not vegan, however « vegetable glycerin » is.
½ tsp peppermint extract – this is to give your paste a bit of flavor so your paste doesn’t just taste like chalky baking soda. It should be eay to find at any grocery store for a couple dollars. You can also try fennel or cinnamon or anyhing else.
A small bit of water – this is just to moisten your paste a bit, be careful not to put too much or your paste wil be all runny,
So just mix all this stuff together and get to brushing. Remember, for optimal dental health brush three times a day for 2½ minutes each time and floss daily. For storing yout paste you can cut the end off and old toothpaste tube, spoon your paste in, roll it up a bit and staple or clip it somehow.
